WCWS preview for the Florida Gators softball team

The Women’s College World Series will get underway on Thursday morning in Oklahoma City when the number one seed Florida Gators softball team takes the field for the first game.

Joining the Gators in the World Series are Texas A&M, LSU, UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Oklahoma and Baylor. Florida will take on Texas A&M in game one on Thursday.

On Florida’s side of the bracket is Texas A&M, UCLA and LSU. The Gators only faced UCLA this year and they defeated the Bruins 9-4 in California.

Championships have become not only hope, but also expectation in Gainesville for the Florida Gators softball team. After two WCWS Championships in a row, and an even better season in the making in 2016, no one expected the season to end before Oklahoma City. The only problem with expectations is that they often lead to devastation.
