Two gymnasts join Florida Gators gymnastics team in 2018

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Two gymnasts - Jazmyn Foberg and Nicole Webb - will join the University of Florida team for the 2018 season, Florida Head Coach Jenny Rowland announced today.

Foberg is an International Elite competitor and twice was a member of the U.S. Junior National Team. She trained alongside 2016 U.S. Olympian Laurie Hernandez at MG Elite. An ankle injury slowed Foberg in 2016, but she was part of the first U.S. Senior training camp in 2017.

Philadelphia - The University of Florida women's lacrosse team (14-2, 8-0) defeated the Temple Owls (13-3, 6-2) on Saturday, 15-5. The loss was Temple's first home loss of the season.

With the win over the Owls, Florida has won at least a share of the BIG EAST regular season title for the third year in a row. The Gators will face Georgetown on April 29 for the outright conference championship, as well as the No. 1 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament.

The No. 1 ranked Florida Gators softball team went 3-1 last week and knocked off Central Florida on Wednesday night to start this week off on a high note.

The Gators take their 41-3 record into a big SEC weekend series against no. 20 ranked Ole Miss starting on Friday.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Sophomore pitcher Kelly Barnhill (18-0) fueled the Florida softball team to its sixth-straight conference series win with her second career no-hitter in a 2-0 victory over No. 21 Kentucky at John Cropp Field. Indianapolis, Ind. - The University of Florida women's lacrosse team (13-2, 7-0) won a 22-2 decision over the Butler Bulldogs (1-14, 0-7) on Saturday afternoon, in the first meeting between the two schools.

Florida dominated Butler in all facets of the game: Outshooting the Bulldogs 43-12, winning a 19-7 edge in the draw circle, and forcing 18 turnovers. The 22 goals scored by the Gators tied a season-high, and the 20-goal victory was the largest margin of the season.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators swept Georgia after the team put the finishing touches on the series with a 3-0 victory at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. Sophomore Kelly Barnhill struck out 14 Bulldogs for her 15th win of the season.
