After winning nine consecutive games, the Florida Gators finally dropped one on Saturday at Kentucky. Along with having the streak snapped by its biggest conference rival, Florida also fell out of the first place spot in the SEC with just two more games to play in the regular season.
The loss was a lot to take in, but now the Gators must move on from it quickly to be ready for a tough week ahead. So far, Mike White is pleased with the response his team has made in the days since returning from Lexington.

Florida Gators basketball coach Mike White joined Florida Gators football Jim McElwain on Tuesday night at the University Auditorium to speak to University of Florida students.
White and McElwain both took questions from the students in attendance about their respective programs.
In this two-part series we bring you a notebook from what White had to say about his basketball program.

Looking back on the Florida Gators basketball team’s 58-52 loss to No. 1 Michigan State on Saturday night, it would be easy to become downtrodden in the Gators falling to 6-3. But alas, there is joy that can be taken from this game, and all apart of many things we learned in the Gators East Lansing matchup. So on this morning, we look back and find the joy…and some bad, because hey, it was still a loss.
