GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Behind a two-hit shutout thrown by junior Aleshia Ocasio (5-0), the No. 2-ranked University of Florida softball team downed USF 8-0 Wednesday, March 22, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. Today’s afternoon matchup was the second contest between the two squads this season.

The Gators (27-1, 5-0 SEC) recorded their 19th shutout of the season behind solid pitching and a hardworking defense. The offense continued to roll as the team also recorded its third-straight and 11th run-rule victory of the year.
